At Mercy Hospital, we rely on the generous support and giving of volunteers. Volunteers are associated with many facets of Mercy. Their skills are matched with the appropriate needs of our patients, families and staff.
The adult volunteer program has participation in over 50 departments throughout the hospital. Mercy's teen volunteer program collaborates with many Miami-Dade County Schools programs such as, Project Victory, Health Occupational Students of America, Work to School Program and Advance Academic Internships. Teens can also join the Teen & College Auxiliary.
As part of Volunteer Resources, Mercy’s Auxiliary conducts various fundraisers throughout the year which benefits patient care and underprivileged patients. The adult Auxiliary has approximately 350 active members sponsoring the hospital’s Gift Shop, Beauty Salon and Dry Cleaning services.
