International Services

Patient Services

The International Services team is available 24-hours a day, coordinates international referrals, forwards medical records to referring physicians and schedules all patient appointments and consultations. Air and ground ambulance transportation are promptly arranged in order to ensure continued patient care. Depending on the patient’s needs, they will be provided assistance with hotel accommodations, long-term housing and vehicle rental arrangements. The staff can also assist with letters of verification for VISA requests and guidance useful in the process of immigration services. Furthermore, once a patient is admitted, an International Services staff member will visit the patient on a daily basis to assess the patient's needs and maintain up-to-date patient status and quality control.

As an added service, the International Services department will render full concierge services including directions, recommendations and reservations for local dining and attractions and suggestions for area shopping. Arrangements can also be made for transportation to and from the airport. Mercy’s International Services department strives to ensure a patient’s stay at Mercy Hospital is as comfortable and easy as possible.
